Getting started
- Click the UploadReady extension icon.
- Select Open file checker.
- Choose where the file is going, or select Custom rules.
- Choose or drop up to 10 files.
- Review each readiness check before uploading on the destination website.
Common questions
Does UploadReady upload my file?
No. Selected files are analyzed locally in the extension page and are not sent to UploadReady.
Does “Ready” guarantee acceptance?
No. Presets use common limits. Always follow the exact instructions on the destination website.
Why is my PDF marked for review?
It may exceed a preset limit, contain encryption markers, have many pages or show limited signs of selectable text.
Can I enter exact requirements?
Yes. Custom rules support size, extension, PDF page and image dimension limits.
Where are my settings stored?
Your selected preset and custom rules are saved only in Chrome's local extension storage.
How do I remove results?
Select Clear results or close the checker page. Removing the extension also removes saved settings.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm the file is under UploadReady's 100 MB analysis limit.
- Open the file normally to confirm it is not damaged.
- Check that Chrome is up to date.
- Reload UploadReady from
chrome://extensionsif an update was just installed. - Try the Custom rules preset when a website provides unusual requirements.
